2026 Annual General Meeting
2026 Annual General Meeting
Your Voice. Your Co-op. Your Future.
On Monday, May 25, 2026, Swan Valley Co-op members gathered virtually for our 86th Annual General Meeting. Members heard reports from Board President Jessica Lacasse, General Manager Colin Peters, and FCL Delegate Kevin Kirkpatrick. Finance Manager Amanda Dixon walked members through the audited financial statements, and members voted in favour of two bylaw amendments.
Colin shared that the Co-op surpassed $124 million in sales and reported net savings after income tax of $258,525. While earnings were lower than projected due to tighter margins and a highly competitive market, the Co-op remains on solid financial footing and focused on serving members for years to come. Colin also shared that this was his final AGM with Swan Valley Co-op as he moves on to a new role with Federated Co-operatives Limited. We thank him for nine years of dedicated leadership and wish him all the best.
Congratulations to Kevin Kirkpatrick on being re elected for another three year term, and a warm welcome to new board member Rod Berezowecki from The Pas. We are excited to have representation from that community at our board table. A heartfelt thank you to Lorna Munro, who has completed her term as per our bylaws, and to Tim Mendel, who stepped down in October 2025 after relocating.
We also recognized our long serving team members during the service awards and wrapped up the evening with prize draws. Congratulations to our prize winners: Ken Treasure ($250 gift basket), and Jennifer Laviolette and Kevin McQueen ($100 gift cards).
To every member who supports your Co-op day in and day out, thank you. You are the reason we are here.
